Program Info

DREAM Connect creates a network between STEM professionals, graduate students and undergraduates from the Caribbean and young students. Being able to connect with someone of similar background can provide hope to young students and encourage them to pursue their dreams. 

Getting Started

Once registration is complete, teachers will work with the DREAM team to agree on letter pick up and drop off days. Students will initiate the communication by sending the first letter to their pen pal. In this letter, students can introduce themselves, discuss their likes and dislikes, favorite subjects, dreams and aspirations as well as explain how they feel about science, math, technology and engineering. 

Back-to-School Raffle

For signing up students can be entered into a raffle. They have the option to submit a back-to-school wish list via e-mail or upon registering. Students will be randomly selected and prizes will be delivered to winners' classrooms.

Letter-Writing Supplies

Students are expected to write and mail letters throughout the school year. One of our team members will collect letters and mail them: January, March, May, September, and November.

Penpal responses will be mailed and delivered by February, April, June, October, and December.

As a thank you for enrolling in DREAM Connect, mailing supplies to the first 10 classrooms to sign up. If in need, please do let us know via email.
